SV Microwave offers strain relief solutions for RF cable assemblies. Generally, RF cable assemblies can easily be damaged if not handled correctly. Rough maneuvering and extreme bending can lead to a damaged cable and cable connector, which ultimately negatively impacts the RF performance of the assembly. To mitigate damage in the cable assembly, SV has developed different product lines that address this issue in different ways. Extended Ferrule RF Cable Connectors
SV Microwave offers a line of RF connectors featuring an extended-length ferrule for Ø.047" cable. By increasing the length of the ferrule, the solder joint in a cable assembly is protected from environmental stress.
Features & Specifications
- Available in threaded male SMA, 2.92mm, and 2.4mm and female push-on SMP and SMPM configurations.
- It allows aggressive bends
- It replaces the need for shrink tubing
- Increases durability for use in the field
- Electrical impedance 50 ohm
- Temperature rating -65°C to +165°C

RF Cable Assemblies with Strain Relief Boot
SV Microwave recently launched a new series of strain relief cable assemblies. These assemblies feature an overmolded boot accessory, which safeguards the delicate cable termination zone. In addition, these cable assemblies include SV's Ø.087 Low Loss cable variant. It offers more flexibility and reduced insertion loss compared to our typical Ø.085" cable.

- The Low Loss cable assemblies are available in male SMA, 2.92mm, or 2.4mm
- The new boot provides exceptional strain relief
