July 25, 2024

SV Microwave is proud to celebrate the 5th anniversary of our Mesa, Arizona location. This milestone brought together employees to reflect on the significant achievements of the Mesa facility and its contributions to the company’s growth and industry success.

SV Microwave's 5 fifth anniversary Mesa, Arizona Location

Opened in 2019, our Mesa location marked SV Microwave’s expansion beyond our West Palm Beach base. Our high-profile aerospace customers in the West drove the decision to establish a facility in Mesa. Planning for the Mesa location began in 2017, with an initial opening goal set for 2018. However, construction delays pushed the official opening to May 12, 2019, under the leadership of Plant Manager Jorge Lopez, Production Technician Elba Figueroa, and others. The first parts were shipped from Mesa in June 2019.

From the outset, the Mesa facility proved to be a strong asset, generating substantial revenue and growing rapidly. Starting with 17 employees in its first year, the facility began expanding its workforce in 2020, hiring more people and introducing new products such as distribution item product connectors and commercial cables. By 2020, 90% of distribution items were shipping from Mesa, and they continued to add capabilities, significantly growing their customer base.

By 2021, the need for more space for the machine shop became apparent. The facility brought in additional employees, including some from the West Palm Beach location, to support this growth. The employee count increased from 27 to 38 in 2021. In November 2022, Mesa expanded their location, adding in a machine shop. This allowed for the addition of advanced machining capabilities such as M12 machines and 3D printing. This allowed the facility to support key customer programs for SV Microwave in Mesa, continuing its growth and customer acquisition trajectory. Renovations to increase space in the main building began in 2023, further supporting our expansion.

Today, our Mesa location boasts about 76 employees, all working seamlessly together. The success of the Mesa facility is a testament to the hard work and dedication of various teams. We extend a special shoutout to Tooky Patrick, our Mesa Administrative Assistant, for organizing the celebration event.

The anniversary event featured team-building exercises using scrap materials to create unique designs, as well as an assortment of cupcakes and cakes. It was a fun and memorable occasion that highlighted the collaborative spirit of our team.
