Operations Generalist

Do you have a passion for accomplishing project objectives while working with cross-functional teams?  Are you a business or engineering graduate looking for a career-building position?  If you enjoy a fast-paced, interactive environment, consider joining SV Microwave’s Operations team.  As an Operations Generalist, you will gain a broad overview of the manufacturing process and then use that knowledge to increase efficiencies, solve problems and expedite orders.  This is a high-impact job with growth potential. 


  • Ability to work with people across multiple levels and supervise people as needed
  • Liaison between operations management, production management, sales and materials to ensure on-time delivery targets are met
  • Analytically review delinquent assembly orders in process to determine root cause and trends; assist in cause determination and implementation of action through shipment of orders
  • Meet urgent, short lead time requirements for high visibility customers
  • Find and provide alternate solutions to technical or logistical problems; attack and resolve bottlenecks
  • Attend production meetings to be informed of weekly and monthly ship plan and provide feedback from sales as to which to prioritize
  • Gain proficiency in each operation of the manufacturing process for future development in production management
  • Assist in analytical review of Materials issues, supplier issues, WIP analysis, inventories, etc. when needed


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations, Business
  • Experience or strong interest in Manufacturing Environments and/or Materials/Logistics a plus
  • Computer literate with MRP knowledge preferred
  • Strong technical aptitude
  • High energy, fierce sense of urgency, creative problem-solver, good communicator, forceful with tact
