SV is the only DLA-approved source for M3933/30 attenuators and has been providing high-quality space-grade attenuators for over 35 years. Focusing on assembly designs that eliminate weak points like gaskets and O-rings, SV’s space-rated cable assemblies are low outgassing and can accommodate characteristics like minimal phase change over temperature, phase-matching, radiation resistance, low attenuation and lightweight. SV’s UltraLite RF Cable Connectors feature aluminum materials in their housing, making them 66% lighter than their standard steel counterparts. Simple, thoughtful innovation like this addresses the ever-present challenge of minimizing spacecraft weight without compromising connectivity or performance.

Board-to-Board Solutions in Space

SV has a wide breadth of PCB connectors that are well suited to the shock, vibration, and other stress factors that can damage a board-to-board interconnect system. SV’s Pre-tinned PCB Connectors have been pre-treated to a special finishing process that completely removes gold from the solder joints. After this finishing process, these connectors are J-STD-001 compliant, meaning that there is less than 3% Au in the solder joint. This makes these connectors much more robust than non-pretinned PCB connectors. SV’s Threaded SMPM design takes the high-frequency rating that an SMPM is known for but optimizes it for the harsh vibration conditions common in rocket launches and payloads. The Threaded SMPM has a threaded coupling nut that provides additional mating captivation and keeps this connection secure.
