SV Continues Growing its Quantum Computing Product Offering

quantum computing

SV is growing its portfolio of customers in the quantum computing field. Many are building quantum computers and associated equipment such as fridges and racks in order to develop a network of quantum computers for their own internal use and computing. SV is catering to this developing market, designing and building RF interconnects that are used both at room temperature environments (such as server racks) and cryogenic temperatures, closer to the quantum computing chip.

The quantum computing industry is growing quickly, due to the need for faster and more complex computing capabilities with the increase of uses such as artificial intelligence. The calculations and computations needed to solve these types of problems is often too complex for a classical computer. For example, a classical computer will attempt to solve a problem by looking at it from one "angle". A supercomputer will look at it from every possible "angle", and use brute force to solve the problem. Quantum algorithms create multidimensional computational spaces and runs calculations based on all potential "angles", all at the same time.

Quantum Computing Field Connectors

Classical computers carry out logical operations, based on one of two positions: 0 or 1 (binary). Quantum computers operate in the quantum state of an object to produce a qubit. Rather than having a clear position lie 0 or 1, quantum states occur in a mixed superposition, which can be entangled with those of other objects, meaning their final outcomes will be mathematically related, even if we don't yet know what they are.

As with all quantum computing hardware, there is a push to have more signals per area on the chip, so high density designs are a must. With our vast COTS offering, engineering expertise, and lengthy experience in the quantum field, we have been able to provide low cost, COTS products where needed, as well as unique, custom solutions where performance and fit are crucial. Explore our non-magnetic RF connectors.

We can see that quantum computing is not going anywhere, and is only growing. And SV is well-poised to help our quantum computing customers achieve their goals.
