Tight Routing Applications and Insertion Loss

Aerospace applications can have crowded or tight routing applications that need flexibility. This can often come at the cost of increasing insertion loss, as Ø.047" cables are used. SV has created a solution that gives you the flexibility you need while simultaneously minimizing insertion loss.

 

ConvergeRF Cable Assemblies

Our ConvergeRF capability allows you to create a cable assembly with a short run of a Ø.047” cable and transition it to a longer, less-lossy Ø.085” cable or larger without the use of any additional interfaces. This product offers a fully customizable solution with customizable lengths, making it ideal for tight routing in aerospace applications.

 

High-Density Solutions for Tight Packaging

High-density interconnects are popular in LEO, Video, and Cube Set applications or any other applications with space constraints where tight packing solutions are expected. SV has a multitude of high-density interconnects that have been extensively used in space and can ensure that tight packaging doesn't hold you back.

 

Mitigating tolerance stack-up is important in precise applications like Space. Our Spring Bullet line is designed to absorb tolerances and accommodate misalignments in your system, ensuring a seamless, hassle-free connection.

Repeatability is critical in applications where the compressed length can vary due to tolerance stack-up at final integration, and this product line is designed for repeatable RF performance under all states of compression. To achieve this, we addressed axial and radial misalignment issues when fully mated. Available in an SMP, SMPM, or SMPS interface, these RF connectors for aerospace ensure solid, consistent mating and any length.

 

We recently launched a Spring Bullet line with an SMPS interface to maximize density and high frequency in applications up to 32 GHz. This new addition of bullets helps mitigate stack-up with a very tight board-to-board stack-up and a minimum overall length of just Ø.460”.

To manage multiple RF lines in tight design envelopes, we offer a wide range of Multiport surface and edge mount board connectors with SMP, SMPM, and SMPS series. These RF connectors for aerospace have been used extensively in space and are able to withstand shock and vibration in other environments. 

Reflow Stable Multiport PCB Connectors

 

We recently introduced a line of Reflow Stable Multiport PCB Connectors. These connectors are able to withstand up to 500°C, retaining their internal geometries without compromising electrical and mechanical performance after going through solder reflow -  ideal for high-density multiport configurations like those found in aerospace applications.
